Devon IT Releases HP Thin Client Customers Conversion

Devon IT, Inc., a thin client and virtual desktop solutions provider, announced its DeTOS operating system and Echo thin client management platform are available for HP thin client conversion.

According to a release, Devon IT now enables any HP t610 or HP t410 thin client to utilize the Devon Terminal Operating System (DeTOS) and manage all user devices with the web-enabled Echo management platform.

Devon IT's software, which includes its DeTOS thin client OS and its Echo management suite allows IT managers to create, deploy and manage their virtual desktop infrastructure. VDI is complex and therefore requires a holistic management framework to orchestrate the many components required for successful virtual desktop delivery and management. Devon IT's suite of software streamlines and simplifies desktop virtualization deployments, enabling IT organizations to gain greater management and control, ensure data and asset security, and provides enterprise business continuity and cost reductions.

All thin client devices that run DeTOS 7 (or Devon IT's WES7 operating system) can be managed by Devon IT's Echo thin client management platform. Echo automates the distribution of settings and connections to the thin client terminals, enabling system and desktop administrators to create or copy new arrangements of settings, connections, and disk images to tailor the IT environment to their needs. Among the many available settings that can be utilized is the ability to apply a password for the DeTOS control panel that prevented the end users from altering or creating connections, giving administrators greater ability to prevent end user error. IT operations can access Echo from any web-enabled device.
