Teradici, the developer of the PCoIP® protocol, today announced the shipment of its one millionth PCoIP zero client through its extensive partner ecosystem. To celebrate this achievement, Teradici will give away a trip to VMworld Europe 2013 in Barcelona from October 15-17. Entries will be accepted at Teradici booth #905 this week at VMworld in San Francisco, August 25-29 or online at Teradici.com/onemillion.

"This milestone achievement could not have been possible without the phenomenal dedication of each and every one of our partners," said Dan Cordingley, CEO and president of Teradici. "Today, more than a million zero client users are experiencing the promise of virtual computing with products built with Teradici PCoIP technology, thanks to our successful collaboration with such a strong ecosystem. I'm proud of our accomplishments to date and look forward to many more in the future."

Teradici PCoIP zero clients enable the ultimate virtual desktop and remote workstation experience for end-user computing. The unique technology allows organizations to take full advantage of the benefits promised by virtualization, while also supporting a rich multimedia experience with significant advantages over desktop PCs and traditional client solutions. The stateless architecture of PCoIP zero clients, along with the absence of data at the desktop, enables Teradici to provide the easiest to manage, most secure and highest performance user experience for office workers and power users.

"Our partnership with Teradici has continued to strengthen since the inception of the PCoIP protocol technology within our VMware Horizon View™ solutions. The flexibility of remote user access with the full performance of a host system can enhance agility for users," said Mason Uyeda, senior director, End-User Computing, VMware.

"Teradici's PCoIP protocol and Dell Wyse's zero client technology delivers a secure, easy to manage solution that provides an outstanding user experience for VMware Horizon View and remote users," said Jeff McNaught, executive director of marketing and chief strategy officer at Dell Cloud Client Computing. "The Dell Wyse P25 and P45 zero client collaboration has enabled thousands of customers to adopt desktop virtualization with success and continues onto the next million with the addition of the Dell Wyse D10DP PCoIP thin client."

"There is a growing need for fast, powerful virtual desktop environments across industries from healthcare to government," said Jeff Groudan, marketing director, Thin Clients, HP. "With the HP t310 zero client integrating Teradici's PCoIP silicon, we've been able to give our diverse population of customers a secure, high-performance and easy to manage solution."

"The Teradici PCoIP zero client chipset, combined with VMware's virtual desktop software, has delivered a powerful and secure virtual computing solution for our customers," said Hyoung-sei Park, head of the LG Electronics IT division. "We are extremely pleased with the performance capabilities of our LG V-Series LED Cloud Monitor zero client and the positive user feedback that has evolved with the integration of Teradici's PCoIP technology."

"At Samsung, we are dedicated to delivering high performance solutions to our customers," said Greg Spence, senior product manager, VDI Endpoints, Samsung. "We look forward to our continued partnership with Teradici as we provide its highly integrated PCoIP technology into our LCD-integrated zero clients for added functionality and exceptional user experience."
