IGEL at the Euro Shop 2014: Efficient thin client solutions

IGEL Technology Introduces 16 to 20 February of this year EUR Shop in Dusseldorf (Hall 6/Stand C36) prior to its broad product and solutions portfolio for trade. One focus is a based on the IGEL UD5 thin client POS solution that was developed jointly with Hermes software. Special feature: the system based on Windows Embedded 7 is offline capable and uses a hidden USB port that is located in the so-called connectivity foot of the UD5. About the Port the ERP data for offline use are stored, which makes the system extremely flexible and independent.

Furthermore, advances the IGEL thin client screen integrated into the center UD10 its presentation. The powerful all-in-one with a generous 24 (60 cm) inch widescreen display and powerful 1 GHz dual-core processor delivers high with numerous interfaces, including USB 3.0 and optional add-ons such as touch screen and Wi-Fi. Thus equipped, opened the IGEL UD10 a wide range of applications - from the presentation, cash or web terminal at the Point-of-Sale (PoS) in the wholesale and retail to kiosk and research terminals in public institutions and libraries.

Der deutsche Thin Client-Marktführer zeigt auf der wichtigsten Messe des Handels ein innovatives offlinefähiges Kassensystem und das weite Einsatzspektrum seines neuesten All-in-One Thin Client UD10. 

Bremen, 05. Februar 2014 - IGEL Technology stellt vom 16. bis 20. Februar auf der diesjährigen EuroShop in Düsseldorf (Halle 6/Stand C36) sein breites Produkt- und Lösungsportfolio für den Handel vor. Einen Schwerpunkt bildet dabei eine auf dem IGEL Thin Client UD5 basierende Kassenlösung die gemeinsam mit Hermes Software entwickelt wurde. Die Besonderheit: Das System auf Basis von Windows Embedded 7 ist offlinefähig und nutzt einen versteckten USB-Port, der sich im sogenannten Connectivity-Fuß des UD5 befindet. Über den Port werden die Warenwirtschaftsdaten für die Offline-Nutzung abgelegt, was das System äußerst flexibel und unabhängig macht. Des Weiteren rückt IGEL den bildschirmintegrierten Thin Client UD10 ins Zentrum seines Messeauftritts. Das leistungsfähige All-in-One Gerät mit großzügigem 24 (60 cm)-Zoll-Widescreen-Display und leistungsfähigem 1 GHz Dual-Core-Prozessor überzeugt mit zahlreichen Schnittstellen, inklusive USB 3.0 und integrierbaren Optionen wie Touchscreen und WLAN. So ausgestattet eröffnet der IGEL UD10 ein breites Anwendungsspektrum - angefangen vom Präsentations-, Kassen- oder Webterminal am Point-of-Sale (PoS) im Groß- und Einzelhandel bis hin zu Kiosk- und Rechercheterminals in öffentlichen Einrichtungen und Bibliotheken.

Der IGEL UD10 (erhältlich ab 774,- €), der Ende letzten Jahres seine Premiere feierte, wird im Retail-Umfeld häufig als zentral fernverwaltbares bzw. remote steuerbares Digital-Signage-Display genutzt. In Düsseldorf zeigt IGEL die Touchscreen-Variante (ab 899,- €), die sich besonders als Selfservice-Infokiosk oder für den Einsatz an Beratungs- oder Tresen-Arbeitsplätzen eignet.
