Job Description:

As a senior member of the Windows Platform Services Team, this individual will be responsible for management and oversight of the global Citrix server infrastructure.

A significant aspect of this role will be to take ownership to ensure the stable operation of the outsourced Citrix infrastructure systems for operational and engineering requirements. This includes overseeing the planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining/ administering and optimizing servers and related components through a service level agreement (SLA) driven master outsourcing agreement (MOA). This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues between the business, other internal functional IT groups, resources and the outsource vendor.

Primary responsibilities:
• Monitor outsource vendor SLA and KPI performance and take appropriate corrective action when and where necessary
• Ability to provide escalation support for the client's Citrix environment on a global basis and participate in on-call escalation rotation.
• Develop, manage and maintain process in conjunction with outsourced vendor
• Develop short-term corrective programs / process and long-term process redesign
• Interacting with cross functional project teams as an advisor or team member.
• Take ownership for approving/advising technical change controls within the team.
• Provide support for a continuous improvement plan strategy.
• Create and track business metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency (capacity planning, etc)
• Provide strategy, analysis and operational deliverables to senior management for global initiatives. This includes financial analysis, decision support, business project management, operational analysis, process re-engineering and contract and vendor analysis and management.
• Represent Operations and work closely with other functional groups to develop work synergy.
• Develop a toolbox of best practice analytic methodology and approaches used to help improve the efficiency and maturity of the outsource model.
• Provide support for forecasting and budgeting process, as needed.
• Ability to provide strong vendor management and work coordination within BIIB and with various additional service providers.
•The ability to create and read technical documentation and interpret System Architectural Designs for engineering and project planning.
•In-depth technical knowledge of Citrix products.
• Experience in managing global enterprise Citrix Environments
• VMWare experience a plus

Qualifications
Citrix Metaframe, XenApp Server Administration and Management on an enterprise level
o Team leadership, mentoring, technical leadership
o Compaq Proliant Server, HP server class machines
o VMWare or Citrix Virtualization

Qualifications Preferred Knowledge in:
o Citrix Certified Administrator
o Project Management and solutions framework
o FDA Validation
o HP c7000 Blade Enclosures & ilO

Education
BS or CS preferred
