Mid-Atlantic Corporate CUSO Introduces Cloud Computing

MY CU Services, a wholly-owned CUSO of the $4.6 billion Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union, has added cloud computing to its product and service line-up. Cloud services will include hosted email, virtual desktops, virtual servers, software as a service, data backup, disaster recovery, managed firewalls, and vendor connections.

MY CU Services has partnered with Ongoing Operations, LLC for backend hosting. OGO is well known in the industry for safeguarding credit unions' data during physical disasters or other business contingencies, the Middletown, Pa.-based corporate said in a release.

"Cloud computing for the credit union industry is growing rapidly, and many credit unions already use it for their core processing, email and payroll needs," said Drew Kishbaugh, president/CEO, MY CU Services. "It makes sense for MY CU Services to move in this direction, given our current technology-based services and the direction financial technologies are heading."

According to Kishbaugh, MY CU Services chose OGO for its deep background and expertise in business continuity, making it a natural partner. OGO has recently expanded to include hosting services through its distinctive cloud architecture and flexible menu of outsourcing options.
