By replacing the manual entry of usernames and passwords with just a tap of a badge or fingerprint swipe for authentication and single sign-on, IGEL and Imprivata deliver roaming workforces, such as healthcare workers, with a fast, secure and simple way to access virtual desktops. As a member of the Imprivata Developer Program (IDP), IGEL is integrating Imprivata OneSign authentication capabilities into its firmware for both its Windows and Linux devices, including its new System on a Chip UD2-LX MultiMedia device, enabling secure authentication with an ID proximity badge, traditional Smart Card or fingerprint to Citrix XenDesktop / XenApp with HDX™ and VMware View with PCoIP® environments.
