devonIT - Life After Dell (with Acer)

With the Dell relationship behind it now, we look at devonIT and the results so far.Devon-IT-Logo.png

We've been a big fan of devonIT over the years. It began for us with the FX160 from Dell then the FX170.  Nice compact units and we used to get them optionally with 250GB hard drives back when a big hard drive had some value.

noted back in May that supplies had returned but not the pricing.  Seagate came out the big winner from Thailand floods. Background on ssd prices falling. Tablets push standard HDs over the cliff finally...

I get distracted :-)...back to devonIT...

So it was no surprise when we went out to see what about our support for the Dell thin clients now and devonIT has full support catalog for it.  It's called Compatibility Units.  Here is the hyperlink for it.

In that vein, the FX130 and FX170 thin client terminals sold by Dell are fully compatible with our newest lineup of thin clients from Acer. The N2110G,N2010G, and N2620G thin clients being offered through our partner Acer are fully capable of operating in the same environment as our older devices. Through the Echo Management software, both generations of thin clients can be managed quickly and efficiently without any incompatibility issues.
